Our Halloween Event
We have been asked if we are hosting a Halloween event this year, as Halloween falls this year on a Saturday our event will take place on Friday 30th October. We can confirm planning is already well under way for this years event.
CADW Open Doors 2026
As a contribution to the European Heritage Days, Open Doors — Wales’ invites heritage organisations, private owners, local authorities and others to open their doors or offer activities to the public free of charge during September. This event funded and organised by Cadw will see more than 200 historic sites, landmarks and hidden gems open free.

Plas Newydd Saturday 13th & Sunday 14th
The ancestral home of the Marquess of Anglesey sits majestically on the shores of the Menai Strait, a family home enjoying breathtaking views of Eryri. The house is home to a Waterloo-inspired military museum, works of art, regular exhibitions and, at its heart, Rex Whistler’s famous 58-foot fantasy landscape painting.
Plas Newydd will be open for free Saturday13th and Sunday14th September 2026 from 09.30-17.00 each day. Individual component opening times listed below.

Harlech Castle Saturday 26th & Sunday 27th
Join guide, Siân Roberts, and discover the stories behind the stones of this spectacular structure in its stunning Eryri setting. We can highly recommend the tour by Siân.
Harlech Castle will be open free Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th September 2026 from 11.00-16.00
Free Tours will be at 11am, 1pm and 3pm.
Bodnant Gardens Saturday 12th & Sunday 13th September 2026
A great garden offers something to enjoy during every season, and grade I-listed Bodnant has 80 acres of formal gardens, woodland and panoramic mountain views to stir your senses.
Bodnant Gardens will be open free Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th September 2026 from 9.30-17.00
Last entry to the property is 4.30pm – thirty minutes before the site closes.
The Roof Over Your Head
“The Roof over Your Head”, filmed in 1937, gives a fascinating insight into the working of the Slate Mines & Quarries of Blaenau Ffestiniog, Snowdonia, North Wales and the Miners that worked in them.
