With all the previous weeks awful wind and rain we had been playing the ‘weather watch’ game. Prop trial runs were shelved and pushed closer to the day raising our stress levels. It takes days to set up, all our new props needed space and to be outside but again a quick word with the weather God and all came good for the night. In fact it was the best weather we have ever had for a Halloween event.
We, with the aid of Ali & Bry, just managed to get the last props up and running as the first attendees started to arrive, this meant we never got our pumpkins carved or time to don our costumes. Still there is always next year….
The effort that had gone into this years costumes was amazing. Pete did a fantastic job getting all the tech to preform on the night, he has far more perseverance and patience than I have! We must say a very big Thank You’s to Gra for the wonderful array of spooky treats, they were very much appreciated by all, and Ali & Bry for their help in setting up. Also a very big Thank You to the washing up fairy’s, you did a brilliant job.
We only had a few entries into the pumkin carving competition this year but the standards were exceptionally high.
The evening finished around midnight after several drinks and games of Mexican Train. Thanks all for attending making it a very special night.
