Glyn brought the following Facebook post to our attention:
From the NW Caching Group via Mark Atkinson (Mr Pink Icing) 12th January
“As some of you may be aware I have some sad news to pass on, Ian Barnes, aka Sir Tiberian has sadly passed away. Most of you who met Ian would find him funny, he was a good bloke, and willing to help practically everybody. Thoughts go to his son aka squirtal, his dad and close family at this sad time.”
Ian was recently a familiar face at 9 Usual Suspects Events especially CITO’s, he was always willing to get stuck in to what ever tasks that would have to be done that day. He had been Geocaching since 2007 and was very much a social cacher attending many events and was very well known in the caching community, he was great company, ready to assist anyone and was always a pleasure to be with.
9 Usual Suspects and all his geocaching friends from North Wales would like to take this opportunity to express our deepest sympathy to his son, family and friends. He will be missed.
