GC7BM8R CITO, Traeth Lafan Nature Reserve

On Saturday 30th September the 9 usual suspects and friends assembled at Traeth Lafan Nature Reserve for another litter pick. This was organised as part of an International Geocaching Event which saw geocachers all over the world working together to improve their neighbourhoods by clearing an area of rubbish, planting trees, removing invasive plants and maintaining public spaces. The team spread out along the foreshore picking litter and sorting recyclables for removal to the local recycling centre. Amongst the normal litter a microwave oven and half a bed was recovered from this beautiful spot! Luckily the forecasted rain held off until after the event when the Cake was cut and a hot drink and some geochat was in order.
Thanks to all who made the effort to attend, Gwynedd Council’s Tidy Town Scheme for providing the equipment and Ann for the Tayberry cake.
